New RadBlue employee forced to blog… Enjoy!

From a damp, dark corner of the RadBlue offices….

Hello!

As the newest RadBlue team member, someone (Russ) suggested that I share my insights as I navigate the wide world of G2S and RadBlue tools. While I’ve worked in the gaming industry for quite a while, I’m new to the world of G2S. I have to admit to being simultaneously overwhelmed and amazed with this protocol. After some thought (and being reminded of my history as a trainer), I’m convinced I’ve got thoughts to share that could be useful with anyone who is learning like me.

A couple things I have learned that you may not know…

You can resize Transcript columns for better readability.

Right-click on the header of the Transcript window to get the drop-down menu. Click Autosize All Columns and – voila! – the items in the displayed table are readable.

Make your data more manageable with the Transcript’s Quick Filter feature.

Transcript Quick FilterThis is a really useful feature. Most of the RadBlue tools have this feature in their tables – just look for the Quick Filter bar.

Use it when only specific entries in the table need to be seen. For example, all entries from a class, device or location.

The filter begins sorting immediately based on whatever is typed into the bar.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned to this space to see other items of interest and check in on how I’m navigating it all!
